Brighton's
Opus Kink have unveiled plans for their debut album
'The Sweet Goodbye', arriving on 31st July through So Recordings.
Alongside the announcement, the six-piece have dropped lead single
'Come Over, Do Me Wrong', which was premiered by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music.
Speaking about the new single, frontman
Angus Rogers explained: "Half of any good thing is its proximity to its end; half of any good thing is the reason it cannot be yours. 'Come Over, Do Me Wrong' is a song about the hallucinogenic qualities of a doomed love affair and its toxic allure, the mad philosophical leap of 'I don't care what you do as long as you do it to me.'"
The group - comprising Angus Rogers (lead vocals, guitars), Sam Abbo (bass, backing vocals), Fin Abbo (drums, percussion), Jazz Pope (keys, synth, backing vocals), Jack Banjo Courtney (trumpet) and Jed Morgans (saxophone) - will head out on an extensive UK and European headline run this autumn.
