Rachel Chinouriri has released a new version of her single
'All I Ever Asked', featuring LA-based artist
Sombr.
The collaboration builds on the original track's indie-pop foundations, exploring themes of self-worth and relationship dynamics.
"I have always loved 'All I Ever Asked' and the journey that it's taken me on," Chinouriri says. "
Sombr has added such an amazing light and joy to the song and I'm so unbelievably excited for everyone to hear it. His tone, writing and style has always been so cool and I'm so happy he wanted to be a part of it."
Sombr shares his perspective on the collaboration: "I was in a cafe on the Lower East Side when I first heard 'All I Ever Asked'. It was like a ray of sunshine, and I loved it so much. Rachel is such an amazingly talented writer and performer, and I was so excited by the opportunity to be a part of this beautiful record. Big props to Rachel on her Brit noms, by the way! Let's go!"
The release comes as Chinouriri receives her first BRIT Award nominations for Artist of the Year and Best New Artist, with the ceremony set for 1st March 2025. She will perform at London's OMEARA for BRITs Week For War Child on 20th February.
Chinouriri's debut album '
What A Devastating Turn Of Events' will mark its first anniversary with an exclusive white LP vinyl version, releasing on 2nd May 2025.
