Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for what she describes as her biggest live undertaking yet, as she prepares to take the headline slot at this year's Coachella festival.
Speaking to Perfect magazine in a conversation led by designer Marc Jacobs, Carpenter revealed that she has spent seven months putting together her set for the festival — the longest period she has ever dedicated to crafting a single performance. "It's the most ambitious show I've ever done," she said. "So it's been a long journey. It will be very special."
The festival holds particular significance for Carpenter, whose Coachella debut in 2024 landed on the same day she released '
Espresso', the lead single from 'Short n' Sweet'. "That was a really special day for me, the day my song 'Espresso' came out," she recalled. That track was followed by '
Please Please Please', while her latest record 'Man's Best Friend' has produced further singles including 'Manchild' and 'Tears'.
Now returning to headline Friday nights across both weekends — on 10th April and 17th April — Carpenter reflected on how much has changed since that first appearance. "And now, two years later, we're back," she says. "And I think that's what makes this show feel really, really surreal: getting to celebrate all the songs that have come after it, and just how many lives they've lived since they've come out."
Wristbands for both Coachella weekends have sold out, though viewers can tune in via the official Coachella YouTube livestream.
