Sam Fender has kicked off his European tour with a show at Paris' Olympia, marking his first headline performance since the release of his third album '
People Watching' and his recent BRIT Award win for Best Rock/Alt Act.
The North Shields singer-songwriter performed four tracks from 'People Watching' live for the first time during the 14-song set, including '
Crumbling Empire', '
Tyrants', '
TV Dinner' and '
Chin Up'. The show opened with a trio of songs – '
Getting Started', '
Arm's Length' and 'People Watching' – before moving into established favourites including '
Will We Talk?' and '
Seventeen Going Under'.
A notable moment from the evening saw Fender accepting a Greggs sausage roll from a fan who had brought it from the UK specifically for the occasion, travelling over 300 miles to deliver the delicacy to the singer in Paris.
