Sienna Spiro has announced her debut album ‘Visitor’, due for release on 3rd July via Capitol Records.
The London singer-songwriter’s first full-length record follows a breakout year that has seen all three of its singles — ‘Die On This Hill’, ‘The Visitor’ and ‘You Stole The Show’ — chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
Executive produced by Omer Fedi, ‘Visitor’ also features contributions from Blake Slatkin, Yakob and Michael Pollack, alongside orchestral arrangers including Larry Gold and Peter Rotter. Recording sessions took place at Electric Lady Studios in New York, Abbey Road Studios in London and Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles.
Speaking about the album’s themes, Spiro said: “I’ve always had a strong awareness of impermanence; I’m very fearful of things ending and people leaving. It’s so intense that I often won’t participate in new relationships or anything I know won’t last, so in a way I’ve spent most of my life feeling like a visitor.”
She added: “Making this album really taught me how to savor things in the moment, instead of constantly worrying about the future.”
The announcement arrives ahead of a busy summer of live dates, including appearances at Lollapalooza, All Points East, Newport Jazz Festival and Austin City Limits, alongside UK and European dates on ‘The Visitor Tour’.
