Soft Play have announced an expanded version of their ‘Heavy Jelly’ album, featuring Kate Nash

Soft Play’s expanded album ‘Heavier Jelly’ will include six new tracks and a Kate Nash collaboration, releasing April 18th.

Soft Play have announced an expanded version of their 2024 album ‘Heavy Jelly’, set for release on 18th April.

‘Heavier Jelly’ features six additional tracks recorded during the original album sessions and subsequent studio visits, including new single ‘Slushy’ featuring Kate Nash. The expanded collection showcases different musical directions that didn’t align with the original album’s focus, including Irish folk influences and experimental hip-hop elements.

“These songs are the bastard children of Heavy Jelly, strange experimentations / delusions that didn’t fit the mould,” Laurie Vincent says. “I’m excited for our fans to get a glimpse into some more music that came from the world of Heavy Jelly. Strap in.”

The duo are embarking on their first North American tour since 2018, including appearances at Coachella, support slots with Kneecap, and headline shows. They will then return to Europe for a series of festival appearances and outdoor shows.
