SZA teams up with Ben Stiller to announce 'SOS' deluxe album 'Lana'
SZA has finally announced details for 'Lana', a deluxe version of 'SOS', featuring Ben Stiller lip-syncing new track 'Drive' in promotional video.
SZA has announced the deluxe version of 'SOS', titled 'Lana', will arrive this Friday.
The expanded edition has been teased with a new video featuring actor Ben Stiller lip-syncing to new track 'Drive'.
Speaking to Variety in November 2023, SZA explained the approach to the new material: "It was gonna be really soft, because I had made all my screaming points, and I just wanted to glide and not think [too much] and get out of my own head – I was so happy to say some shit that didn't mean a fucking thing."
The release follows a period of speculation around whether 'Lana' and the deluxe version of 'SOS' were the same project, which was confirmed last week via a trailer. SZA had previously described the collection as featuring "outtakes and some new songs."
The collaboration with Stiller follows their social media interactions regarding his Apple TV+ series 'Severance', of which SZA is a noted fan.
