It looks like The 1975 are back in the studio, after frontman Matty Healy posted a new video to Instagram.

Captioned ‘Part 5’ and ‘Day 1’, the black and white clip features Matty strumming an acoustic guitar as instruments are set up.

It follows an Instagram story earlier in the day from manager and label boss Jamie Oborne, which featured a whiteboard containing a one point to do list – “Make good record”.

The update comes following chatter of a fifth album from the band – possibly to arrive later this year.

Over recent months, Matty has started sharing what appears to be new artwork via his Instagram feed – images that were also posted by the band’s long-term creative collaborator Samuel Burgess-Johnson. He also appeared at the band end of last year supporting Phoebe Bridgers at an LA show, with ‘new songs’ in tow.

You can check out the studio video below.
