The 1975 have debuted a new track as part of their live comeback in Japan.
Playing Tokyo’s Summer Sonic earlier today (Saturday 20th August), the band offered up a first play anywhere of ‘I’m In Love With You’.
Introducing the song by commenting on how, even yesterday, he’d been insistent they’d not be playing any unheard material, Matty Healy and co had previously given a live debut to most recent single ‘Happiness’.
‘I’m In Love With You’ already has a video filmed, according to a recent Pitchfork interview. Described as a ‘sequel’ to the clip for ‘A Change of Heart’, it’s said to feature Phoebe Bridgers.
Both tracks are taken from new album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, set for release on 14th October. The band will be back in the UK next weekend to headline Reading & Leeds festivals, standing in as last-minute replacements for Rage Against The Machine.
