The Kooks are set to headline a special 20th Anniversary Spotlight Show at The Great Escape in 2026, marking a return to the festival where they first performed in 2006.
The band will play at TGE Beach on 13th May 2026, celebrating both the festival's 20th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of their debut album 'Inside In/Inside Out'.
Luke Pritchard of The Kooks says, "Brighton always feels like coming home in a way no other city does. The Great Escape is special because it’s fundamentally about music happening in rooms where you can feel people breathing. There’s something really powerful about when the distance between the band and the crowd just disappears. It always takes us back to the beginning and why we started this in the first place. I hope people leave feeling like they caught something rare, we can’t wait to see you there!"
In addition to The Kooks' headline performance, The Great Escape has announced over 100 new artists for the 2026 line-up, including Adult DVD, Dea Matrona, Bella Barbe, Tony Bontana, Angine de Poitrine and dogworld.
The festival will take place from 13th to 16th May in Brighton.
