This Is The Deep have announced their second album, 'Everything', which will be released on 9th September via 5dB Records.
The news arrives alongside new single 'Darkness and the Dawn', the opening track from the forthcoming record and the first introduction to its wider narrative.
According to the band, 'Everything' follows the story of Dick Herman, an employee at fictional social media company Telepix who falls asleep at his desk and wakes up on a beach before embarking on a dreamlike journey beneath the sea. Self-produced with additional production from SHOLTO and Patrick Fitzroy, the album is described as a concept record exploring memories, realisations and monsters lurking beneath the surface.
Speaking about the new single, the band said: "'Darkness and the Dawn' is a call to be held by and reconnect with Mother Nature. It comes from a place of feeling lost and stuck between two places, a past darkness and the dawning of a new day."
The group will celebrate the release with a headline show at London's Moth Club later this week.

From the Dork archive: back in 2021, Wolf Alice were still wrestling with their pop side. The hindsight thrill is how close they had previously come to resisting the direction of 'Don't Delete The Kisses' that made the whole song land.
