Towa Bird has announced new album ‘Gentleman’ and dropped ‘Dirty Habit’ - a Scorsese-inspired night out gone wrong
'Dirty Habit' was written by Bird with Reneé Rapp, Patrick Wimberly and Julio Tavarez.

Towa Bird has announced her new album 'Gentleman', the follow-up to 2024 debut 'American Hero'. It arrives on 15th May via Interscope/Polydor Records, with new single 'Dirty Habit' out now alongside an official video directed by Caio Vieira.
Produced by Patrick Wimberly and featuring contributions from Kathleen Hanna, the record was recorded in Brooklyn and Los Angeles after a year of touring, including dates supporting Billie Eilish. Bird also recently shared the album’s title track, while 'Your Girl' is set to feature on the tracklist too.
“The Gentleman isn’t a stage persona,” explains Towa Bird. “It’s a cultural lifestyle (e.g. Ziggy Stardust, IGOR, Silk Sonic) that represents a whole world that I want this album, myself and my fans to live in. The boys want to be the gentleman and the girls want to be with the gentleman. If the last album was a pub, this is a cocktail bar. If the last album was a white tank, this is a double-breasted suit.”
On the album more broadly, she adds, “In a lot of ways this record feels like a conversation with me, and a reflection of my personality and the body I inhabit. I love that all these songs sound like how I look.”
'Dirty Habit' was written by Bird with Reneé Rapp, Patrick Wimberly and Julio Tavarez. Its video takes inspiration from Martin Scorsese’s 1985 film After Hours, following Bird through Paris as a night out turns into a series of mishaps.
The album’s full tracklisting is: 'Gentleman', 'Dirty Habit', 'Dog', 'Your Girl', 'Don’t Wanna Hear About It', 'Afterglow', 'Gap In Your Teeth', '69 BPM', 'All Gone' ft. Kathleen Hanna, 'Daisy' and 'Victoria'.
