Yard Act have been relentlessly touring their 2022 debut LP, ‘The Overload’, over the last few months, but have decided to see things off with a bang – they’ve just announced four of their biggest shows to date.

“OK, we are putting ‘The Overload’ tour schedule to bed,” the acclaimed rockets stated via social media, before revealing, “4 final shows in 4 of the greatest venues these fair isles have ever seen.”

Starting next April, Yard Act will play Dublin’s Vicar Street, Glasgow’s Barrowlands, and Manchester’s Albert Hall before concluding the following week with a stint at London’s Brixton Academy.

Fan pre-sale begins at 10am BST tomorrow, October 15th – you can sign-up for access here. General sale will follow next Tuesday, October 18th.

As announced yesterday, October 13th, the band will be performing at next week’s Mercury Prize 2022 Award Show, where ‘The Overload’ is nominated for album of the year.

The band have also shared a live version of the album track ‘Rich’, sharing: “Today we celebrate the performance of Liz Truss and her very able chancellor by releasing this live version of ‘Rich’. They’ve exceeded even our expectations. Congrats to them both.”

You can watch the new performance video below:

Dork described Yard Act’s debut album, ‘The Overload’, as “funhouse mirror images of believable and multidimensional characters” – you can check out the full 5-star review here.
