About Gerard Way
Gerard Arthur Way, born April 9, 1977, is an American singer, songwriter, and comic book writer. He is known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band My Chemical Romance. In 2014, he released his debut solo album, Hesitant Alien. Way co-created and wrote the comic series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and The Umbrella Academy, the latter of which was adapted into a Netflix series. He is also the founder of DC Comics' Young Animal imprint and authored its flagship series, Doom Patrol.
