Harry Edward Styles, born on 1 February 1994, is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He began his musical career in 2010 as a member of the boy band One Direction, which was formed on the British television series The X Factor after each member was eliminated from the solo contest. The group became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Styles released his self-titled debut solo album in 2017 through Erskine and Columbia Records, featuring the UK number-one single 'Sign of the Times.' His second album, Fine Line, was released in 2019 and achieved the biggest first-week sales by an English male artist in the United States; its single 'Watermelon Sugar' topped the US Billboard Hot 100. His third album, Harry's House, released in 2022, received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and its lead single, 'As It Was,' became the world's biggest single of that year. Styles is also recognized for his showmanship, artistry, and flamboyant fashion, which have influenced popular culture.
