About Jorja Smith
Jorja Alice Smith, born on 11 June 1997 in Walsall, West Midlands, is an English singer and songwriter. She began writing songs at age 11. In 2012, her cover of Labrinth's 'Earthquake' was uploaded to YouTube by a friend, leading to her discovery by record producer Guy Moot. After her first two singles gained recognition, she signed with Sony/ATV in early 2016 and released two EPs later that year and into 2017. Her debut studio album, Lost & Found, was released in 2018 and reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. That year, she received the Brit Critics' Choice Award. In 2019, she was named Best British Female Artist at the Brit Awards and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Her third EP, Be Right Back, was released in May 2021 and received favorable reviews.
