Kehlani Ashley Parrish, born April 24, 1995, is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. They began their career as a member of the teen pop group PopLyfe, which competed on America's Got Talent in 2011. After leaving the group, Parrish released the mixtapes Cloud 19 in 2014 and You Should Be Here in 2015. Both mixtapes received critical acclaim and were certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). You Should Be Here was their first entry on the US Billboard 200 and was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. Parrish signed with Atlantic Records and released their debut studio album, SweetSexySavage, in 2017, which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. Their second album, It Was Good Until It Wasn't, was released in 2020 and reached number two on the chart. The third album, Blue Water Road, came out in 2022 and peaked at number 13, receiving critical praise. Their fourth album, Crash, was released in 2024 and peaked at number 25. In 2025, the single "Folded" from their fifth album, Kehlani (2026), reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and won two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
