About Mika
Mika, born Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. on 18 August 1983 in Beirut, Lebanon, is a singer-songwriter raised in Paris and London. He gained recognition with the release of his debut EP, Dodgy Holiday, in 2006, which included the single "Relax, Take It Easy" that topped charts across Europe. His first full-length album, Life in Cartoon Motion, was released in 2007 on Island Records and featured the single "Grace Kelly," which spent five weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart. The album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 8 million copies globally. Life in Cartoon Motion earned Mika a Brit Award in 2008 for Best British Breakthrough Act, and its track "Love Today" was nominated for a Grammy Award. His second studio album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much, released in 2009, reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and included the UK top-five single "We Are Golden."
