About Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets is an Australian psychedelic rock band formed in 2014 in Perth. The band consists of guitarist and singer Jack McEwan, guitarist Luke Parish, drummer Danny Caddy, bassist Jamie Reynolds, and keyboardist Chris Young. The members began playing together in an old horse barn in Leederville. Their music has been compared to that of other Australian psychedelic rock bands such as King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala. The band describes their sound as "an energetic mess of colour and tone." The name was chosen at random, with the band members stating they found it amusing and provided little further explanation.
With much of 2020’s tour plans put on ice due to, y’know, reasons, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets instead hunkered down to prepare for their fourth studio album. With a title like ‘SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound’, this isn’t your standard fare.
