Rico Nasty, born Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly on May 7, 1997, is an American rapper and singer. She began self-releasing music during high school and had released five solo mixtapes by late 2017. She gained a local following on SoundCloud with songs such as 'iCarly' and 'Hey Arnold'. Her recognition increased with the 2018 singles 'Smack a Bitch' and 'Poppin', leading to a contract with Atlantic Records. Under the label, she released her sixth mixtape, Nasty, in 2018, and collaborated with Kenny Beats on the mixtape Anger Management in 2019. Her first two studio albums, Nightmare Vacation (2020) and Las Ruinas (2022), were also released through Atlantic, with Nightmare Vacation reaching the US Heatseekers charts. She later parted ways with Atlantic Records and signed with Fueled by Ramen and Elektra Records, which released her third studio album, Lethal, in 2025.
