About This Track

Alan Walker's 2018 single features vocalists Au/Ra and Tomine Harket, released in July of that year as part of the Norwegian DJ's 'Different World' album. The track was billed as the second chapter of the World of Walker trilogy, following 'All Falls Down' and continuing a narrative arc established in that earlier release.

The production leans into Walker's signature electronic palette whilst the lyrics sketch a nocturnal escape. 'We're not in love / We share no stories / Just something in your eyes,' the vocalists sing, framing the song as an invitation to abandon caution and 'fall into the darkside'. The chorus repeats the image of letting go of the light, the metaphor less ominous than seductive, a call to embrace risk whilst still young and fearless.

The official music video, directed by Kristian Berg and released the same day as the single, extends the visual world Walker had been building across the trilogy. It runs three minutes and thirty-one seconds, matching the track's runtime.
