Piel

'Piel' strips away the ornament and arrives at something raw. Arca repeats a plea to shed yesterday's skin, to be remade, whilst trees die standing and distance becomes a measure of what cannot be known. The song moves in Spanish, its language inseparable from the texture of longing it carries. What emerges is strange and hypermodern, a repackaging of ardour into something that feels both intimate and deliberately estranged from expectation.
