About This Track
Aurora's 'Dreams' moves through states of weightlessness and surrender. The song finds her floating from earthly moorings, caught between exhaustion and a kind of deliberate erasure, her path made impossible to track. In the chorus, the dream becomes a refuge: everything quieter, everything felt dissolving into nothing. The architecture is built on paired images that bend and mend rather than break. Arrow and willow, needle and cockroach, mothers and daughters climbing from water. These are metaphors of flexibility, of survival through yielding rather than resistance. Aurora sings the instruction plainly: learn my body and my poems, repeat them like you own them. It is both intimacy and a kind of surrender to being known, to being remade in another's voice.
"Dreams" is a track by AURORA, from the album What Happened To The Heart? (Deluxe), released 1st May 2025. The track is 4:24 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 14 articles about AURORA.
