Beck has announced 'Ride Lonesome', his first new album in seven years
Nigel Godrich mixes his first album of new material since 'Hyperspace'.
About This Track
‘Gold Chains’ by Beck is a 2008 track from ‘Odelay (Deluxe Edition)’. In the verse, the lyrics paint a slick, restless tableau of people trying to look sharp, connect, and form some kind of scene, with the imagery turning on flashing cars, body-adjacent slang, and street-level gestures. There is a sense of friction and mismatch too, as if the speaker cannot get traction, ending on a line that suggests something discarded or gone wrong: “like a broken”.
"Gold Chains" is a track by Beck, from the album Odelay (Deluxe Edition), released 29th January 2008. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 8 articles about Beck.

Duet version arrives as Beck prepares to launch his North American tour run.

The Nigel Godrich-mixed single precedes extensive theatre and amphitheatre run this autumn.

The song was previously played at his intimate performance at Lafayette in London last September.
