Becky Hill takes aim at beauty standards in her new ‘what do i have to do?’ video
Third album preview arrives with a satirical video skewering online beauty culture.
About This Track
Becky Hill and David Guetta's collaboration charts the familiar terrain of post-breakup reflection, where the work of moving on keeps getting interrupted by involuntary memory. Hill's vocals carry the weight of someone who has genuinely tried to let go, only to find herself ambushed by small moments: waking without a notification, walking past a familiar street, the quiet of being alone. The song doesn't dramatise this as tragedy; instead it treats these intrusions as the ordinary texture of recovery, the way healing rarely runs in a straight line. The production sits somewhere between restraint and lift, letting Hill's voice occupy the centre while the track builds around her. What emerges is a song about the gap between what we tell ourselves we feel and what we actually feel when our guard drops, that particular vulnerability of late-night solitude where all the day's conviction collapses. 'That's when I remember' becomes both confession and small act of surrender.
"Remember" is a single by Becky Hill, from the album Only Honest On The Weekend, released 26th August 2021. The track is 2:41 long. It's filed under Dance. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 18 articles about Becky Hill.
