Beyoncé is celebrating 'B'Day' with her first new song in two years, ‘Morning Dew (Donk)’
New track launches 60-day countdown to 'B'Day' 20th anniversary edition.
About This Track
The eleventh track on 'Lemonade', 'All Night' arrives as a moment of resolution after the album's catalogue of betrayal and rage. Written by Beyoncé alongside Diplo, Ilsey Juber, and a handful of collaborators, the song was co-produced by Diplo, Beyoncé, and Henry Allen. Where earlier tracks on the record confront infidelity head-on, this one extends forgiveness, Beyoncé singing of trading broken wings and baptising tears, her torturer becoming her remedy.
The production leans reggae-tinged, a warmer palette than much of 'Lemonade', and the lyric settles into a refrain of physical reconnection and trust rebuilt over time. 'They say true love's the greatest weapon / To win the war caused by pain,' she offers, framing reconciliation not as surrender but as a kind of victory. The song's music video forms part of the 'Lemonade' film, which aired on HBO alongside the album's release in April 2016.
"All Night" is a single by Beyoncé, from the album Lemonade, released 22nd April 2016. The track is 5:22 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 17 articles about Beyoncé.
