About This Track

'You' by Bilmuri is an alternative track from the album 'Bilmuri' released in 2016. The lyrics look on from a place of absence and return, with images of resurfacing and vanishing and a speaker who feels they do not measure up. There is a stark emotional weight to the lines, including the admission, 'I don't deserve you'. The repeated return to the ground, ash, and “hail” gestures gives the song a looped, compulsive momentum, as if the speaker is trapped in a cycle of re-emergence, failure, and distance.

"You" is a single by Bilmuri, from the album Bilmuri, released 14th July 2016. The track is 3:03 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Bilmuri.

Lyrics

You

Resurface up from the ground
I disappear again
I saw your tears resurface to the ground
You feel the weight again

I don't deserve you, I'm not what you need
I know someone's out there, that's better than me
And it kills me

This ash falls, falls to the ground
Hail the flow again
Questions in your head like: "Why the fuck I left?"
I sense your lost for explanation

I don't deserve you, I'm not what you need
I know someone's out there, that's better than me
And it kills me
I don't deserve you, I'm not what you need
So afraid to tell you, that you're what I need
And it kills me

I want to stay around you, you're what I need
