'Ovule' by Björk is a 2022 electronic track from the album 'Fossora'. The lyrics paint a vivid, enclosed fantasy, with a floating glass-egg image and an “oval ovule” placed in a dark blood-red void, before turning to intimacy framed as digital selves, skin and mud, and vigilant sleep with one eye open. It moves like an incantation, repeating the idea of anchoring the dark while imagining a ship’s keel and sub-selves keeping watch.
