About This Track

'Either Way' by Bully is an Alternative track from the album 'Losing' (2017). The lyrics linger on late-night rumination and a sense of being overtaken by dark thoughts, before turning to the exhausting pressure of moving through crowds where everyone seems intent on clinging to what they have. A line like “Everywhere I go there’s people” sums up the repeating cycle the song resists, even as it admits to wanting, and not quite managing, to say or do anything about it.

"Either Way" is a single by Bully, from the album Losing, released 19th October 2017. The track is 2:17 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 7 articles about Bully.

Lyrics

Either Way

I stayed up last night, I was tearin' up in bed
Thought of your death was overwhelming
I could've talked but I just rolled over instead

Everywhere I go there's people who just want what they have
Everywhere I go there's people who
Just wanna hold on to what they have, yeah

And I, I want you either way
Even if you can't stay
I want you either way
Even if you can't stay

I drove past my house just an extra mile or two
I wanted to wait 'til the song was over
I kept driving and I thought about you

Everywhere I go there's people who just want what they have
Everwhere I go there's people
Thinking "if I have you it's not that bad"

And I, I want you either way
Even if you can't stay
I want you either way
Even if you can't stay
I want you either way
Even if you can't stay
I want you either way
Even if you can't stay

Alex Lahey’s second album widened its pop-punk frame through changed structures, tunings and instrumental colour, while keeping everyday uncertainty at its centre.
