I heard the sound of a gun
As I was making my way down the dock
That sat beside your old house
When my head was a tyranny
I heard a crack in your voice
And barely made out my words in response
But nonetheless, I broke down
I'm pretty sure that was home for me

I came to stay at your house
To get away from the noises in my room
I drank a bowl of your mother's homemade soup
As we sat on your roof
I took some comfort and thought, there's no way it could be so bad
That a knife in my chest isn't worth all the stress
Maybe I should move away
