‘Nothingness’ by Editors is an alternative track from the album ‘Violence’, released in 2018. The lyrics are full of self-deprecating refusals and a wary, pleading tension, moving between not chasing easy value and confronting insecurity as a kind of trick. A recurrent “we” frames the song like a shared stalemate, waiting, weighed down, then letting things escape. The final lines keep that sense of suspended expectation, as if the relationship between control and surrender never quite settles, leaving the speaker trapped in what they call nothingness.
"Nothingness" is a track by Editors, from the album Violence, released 9th March 2018. The track is 5:06 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 3 articles about Editors.

Their first full-length since Blanck Mass joined as a full-time member, the news comes alongside a brand new track, 'Karma Climb'.

There's also news of a new member, and a bit of a sonic reinvention.
Overall, the album feels like it’s missing something.
