Brighton's seafront festival On The Beach have confirmed their complete bill for Saturday 25th July 2026, placing The Maccabees at the top of a lineup that also features Editors, Miles Kane, Anna Calvi, Ash, Badly Drawn Boy and Lime Garden.

For The Maccabees, who spent their formative years in the city, the gig carries particular significance. After stepping back onto stages in 2025 with appearances at All Points East and Glastonbury's Park Stage, the band now return to Brighton in a headline capacity for the first time.

The Maccabees said: "When we were first starting out in Brighton, we did not imagine that 20 years on we would be headlining Brighton Beach. It is a very special thing for us to be doing this show outdoors on Brighton Beach and we intend to make this the best Maccabees show ever. Even better than the one at Concorde 2 that got us banned because fans were hanging from the ceiling. You will do well to hang from the ceiling at Brighton Beach."

Five of seven dates across the wider On The Beach programme are already sold out, including shows from Fatboy Slim, Madness and Moby. Remaining tickets for the 25th July show go on priority pre-sale for registered customers on Tuesday 31st March at 11am, followed by general sale on Wednesday 1st April at 11am.

Since launching in 2021, the festival has staged sold-out performances from acts ranging from Chase & Status, Bicep and Eric Prydz to Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and The Libertines across its first five editions.
