The rapper's new documentary explores his influence through devoted fans' perspectives, hitting global theaters for a limited release this August.
About This Track
The third track on Eminem's twelfth studio album 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)', released in July 2024, stages a confrontation between the rapper's two personas. Produced by Dem Jointz and Fredwreck, the only song on the album not produced by Eminem himself, it builds around a wailing horror-movie synth that frames the internal argument. The lyric adopts the voice of Slim Shady launching into deliberately offensive provocations whilst Eminem attempts to intervene and clean up the damage. The exchange escalates into mutual recrimination, Shady accusing Marshall of cowardice and oversensitivity, before arriving at a grudging acknowledgement of their interdependence. The tone is confrontational theatre, the shock content presented as a test of the listener's tolerance and a commentary on the mechanics of cancellation itself.
"Trouble" is a track by Eminem, released 12th July 2024. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Eminem.
