About This Track

'Lighter' by Galantis is a 2024 dance track from the album 'Rx'. The lyrics frame intimacy as a release from pressure, turning a sense of emptiness into something filled, in lines about drifting, gravity, and letting go. You get the feeling of someone refusing to overthink tomorrow, staying with what today brings, and arriving at a lighter state through connection, with the voice circling back to how hollow they feel and how that hollowness changes when “you take it all away”.

"Lighter" is a single by Galantis, from the album Rx, released 16th May 2024. The track is 2:52 long. It's filed under Dance. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Galantis.

Lyrics

Lighter

We're paper planes in the sky
Drifting where the wind blows
Yeah, gravity held me tight
But with you, I can let go

I know, I know when I'm hollow, hollow
You take it all away and fill the empty spaces
Don't know, don't know about tomorrow, 'morrow
But I know that today

I feel a little bit lighter
When the world's heavy as stone
In the cold, you shine a bit brighter
When I'm with you

Wherever we go, the cold ain't so cold
As long as you're close, I thought you should know
I feel a little bit lighter
When I'm with you

(Whoo)
Hey (whoo)
When I'm with you

The tide can pull us away
Don't matter where we are
'Cause when you're inches away
Heaven's never that far

I know, I know when I'm hollow, hollow
You take it all away and fill the empty spaces
Don't know, don't know about tomorrow, 'morrow
But I know that today

I feel a little bit lighter
When the world's heavy as stone
In the cold, you shine a bit brighter
When I'm with you

Wherever we go, the cold ain't so cold
As long as you're close, I thought you should know
I feel a little bit lighter
When I'm with you

Hey (whoo)
Hey
Hey (whoo)
When I'm with you
