About This Track

(Don't Force It)' by 鄧紫棋 (G.E.M.) is a 2019 track from the album '摩天動物園 (City Zoo)'. The lyrics sketch a bruised romance, where love turns fraught when the lovers cling too tightly, and where any attempt to sort out who fell first and who quit last only deepens the hurt. In the main vocal sections, G.E.M. addresses the futility of making things work, with an exchanged, call-and-response feel that frames tenderness as something that has already turned into damage. The refrain pivots on moving past a misstep and letting it go, rather than forcing a lasting match.

(Don't Force It)" is a track by 鄧紫棋 (G.E.M.), from the album (City Zoo), released 27th December 2019. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

(Don't Force It)

G.E.M., Eric Chou]

G.E.M., Eric Chou, G.E.M. & Eric Chou]

G.E.M., G.E.M. & Eric Chou]

G.E.M., Eric Chou, G.E.M. & Eric Chou]

Eric Chou, G.E.M. & Eric Chou]

G.E.M., Eric Chou, G.E.M. & Eric Chou]
