About This Track

'P.45' by Gorillaz is a track from the 2002 album 'Laika Come Home'. The lyrics circle around a deadened, repetitive beat, with the narrator leaning on “Magic for me” as a kind of underground comfort. A sense of pressure builds from the refrain-like lines, turning the song into a small portrait of being worn down, then pulled back by something that feels both soothing and illusory.

"P.45" is a track by Gorillaz, from the album Laika Come Home, released 1st July 2002. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Gorillaz.

P.45

Beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound

Magic for me

It good for me underground

Really got me down

It make my heart…

Beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Magic get me through

Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

We pledge it money

People seem to walk through you

Magic's funny

All good for me

Walk through you, walk through you, walk through you, walk through you, walk through you, walk through you, walk through you

Beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound, beat no sound
