About the Artist
Lyrics
Empty streets under my feet, Sodium lamplight burns for me A distant train running down the track, creates a beat with the click-clack Met a girl tonight fell in love, She didn't want to know, The brush off Walking home alone once more, Just wanna make it to my front door The boys are racing down the high street, The bass bins boom and tyres screech I see a fella I knew from school, He nods at me and we play it cool Lives so different but much the same, I recall his face but not his name Had a drink or two, maybe more, Just wanna make it to my front door Blackbird singing from an office block, He sings for me when my spirits drop The only one out here tonight, I get the feeling everything's alright
