Nick Hodgson and co tease their second album with a psych-leaning new track.

The Kaiser Chiefs are an English indie rock band from Leeds. The band was formed in 1996 under the name Runston Parva, later shortened to Parva in 2000. They released one studio album, 22, in 2003, before adopting the name Kaiser Chiefs that same year. The band’s lineup includes lead vocalist Ricky Wilson, guitarist Andrew "Whitey" White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist Nick "Peanut" Baines, and drummer Vijay Mistry, who joined in 2013 after the departure of founding drummer Nick Hodgson in late 2012. Their musical influences include new wave and punk rock from the late 1970s and 1980s. The band has released eight studio albums: Employment (2005), Yours Truly, Angry Mob (2007), Off with Their Heads (2008), The Future Is Medieval (2011), Education, Education, Education & War (2014), Stay Together (2016), Duck (2019), and Kaiser Chiefs' Easy Eighth Album (2024). They have also issued one EP, Lap of Honour (2005), and one compilation album, Souvenir: The Singles 2004–2012 (2012). Their single "Ruby" reached number one in 2007. The album Employment sold over three million copies worldwide.
