Lyrics

Monster

I don't wanna be alone
I don't wanna face the mirror
I just sit and wait not to make mistakes
But I know this ain't love
I can never win this game
'Cause you're the only one who's playing
And you keep on making all these waves
But I know, do you know?

Writing my name in the dark, in the rain
I get lost, though I'm holding your hand
I am tired of being alone and afraid
So I'm loving a monster instead

We are getting the applause
No one sees that we are strangers
When the curtains close, I'm not visible and I fall

Writing my name in the dark, in the rain
I get lost, though I'm holding your hand
But I save all my tears for when nobody's here
So I'm loving a monster again

I save all my tears for when nobody's here
So I'm loving a monster again
