About This Track
'Passenger' by Interpol is an alternative track from the album 'The Other Side of Make-Believe'. Written in a jittery, self-monitoring voice, the lyrics hover between performance and paranoia, asking what happens if you go unchecked and worrying about how the world will read you. Phrases about being “the other side of make-believe” set the tone, as the narrator weighs fear and restraint, insisting they would never cheat while admitting to taking what they can. The writing keeps circling damage, mockery and replacement, with the speaker pressed into a cycle of retreat and return.
"Passenger" is a track by Interpol, from the album The Other Side of Make-Believe, released 14th July 2022. The track is 4:14 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 15 articles about Interpol.
