About This Track

'Classic' by IVE is a 2023 K-Pop track on the EP 'WAVE - EP'. The lyrics frame a brash, invitation-led mood, with lines urging the listener to show what they have, turn up the lights, and dive into a familiar, “déjà vu” sensation. The vocal approach is split across parts, with an opening verse that sets the dare, followed by a pre-chorus that escalates into urgency, including the repeated idea of closing the eyes and escaping the ordinary.

"Classic" is a track by IVE, from the album WAVE - EP, released 30th May 2023. The track is 3:32 long. It's filed under K-Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 4 articles about IVE.

[IVE「Classic」

[Intro]

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

[Verse 1: An Yujin, Jang Wonyoung]

Show me what you've got,

Turn up all the lights,

[Pre-Chorus: Liz, Leeseo]

Chemistry

[Chorus: Rei, Gaeul]

Shall we begin?

確実に yeah, baby, we are classic

始まる story true romantic

One and only, yeah, baby, we are classic

[Post-Chorus: Leeseo]

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Classic, classic, classic

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Lights, camera, action

[Verse 2: An Yujin, Jang Wonyoung]

I'ma pretty little gangster,

[Pre-Chorus: Liz, Leeseo]

Chemistry

[Chorus: Rei, Gaeul]

Shall we begin?

革命的に yeah, baby, we are classic

幕開く story true romantic

One and only, yeah, baby, we are classic

[Post-Chorus: Leeseo]

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Classic, classic, classic

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Lights, camera, action

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Classic, classic, classic

(Ooh, ooh, ooh)

Lights, camera, action

[Verse 3: Rei, Gaeul]

Tick-tack,

描いてみるの new world

Camera, flash, I'm a new age classic

Him and I walk the line, line

自然と cinematic

Camera, flash, I'm a new age classic

[Bridge: Yujin, Liz, Rei]

I'm completely ready

(Completely ready)

(It's just you and I tonight the night)

[Chorus: Wonyoung, Gaeul]

Shall we begin?

確実に yeah, baby, we are classic

始まる story true romantic

One and only, yeah, baby, we are classic

[Post-Chorus: Leeseo, Liz]
