IVE have made their return with third mini-album ‘IVE Empathy’, accompanied by a music video for title track ‘Attitude’.

The new release features two title tracks, with ‘Attitude’ joining previously released single ‘Rebel Heart’. Member Wonyoung contributed as co-lyricist on ‘Attitude’ alongside Seo Ji-eum, with the track incorporating a sample of Suzanne Vega’s ‘Tom’s Diner’.

“We have focused on the theme of self-love so far, but this time, we took a leap forward by talking about empathy, so that we can connect with people across various generations, eras, and perspectives,” Wonyoung explained during a press conference for the release.

The mini-album contains four additional tracks: ‘Flu’, ‘Thank U’, ‘TKO’ and ‘You Wanna Cry’, with the latter featuring an interpolation of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.

‘IVE Empathy’ follows the group’s second mini-album ‘IVE Switch’ from April 2024, which featured title tracks ‘HEYA’ and ‘Accendio’. The period between releases saw IVE complete their debut world tour ‘Show What I Have’, performing 37 concerts across 19 countries throughout Asia, US, Europe and South America, including an appearance at Lollapalooza.
