About This Track

'Closure' finds Jack & Jack wrestling with the aftermath of a relationship that has run its course. The track circles its central question: what use is closure when the ending has already happened? Beneath that refrain sits a portrait of someone trying to move forward, leaning on liquor to dull the sting of seeing an ex's face, caught between the knowledge that things have changed and the stubborn hope that better days are coming. The song trades in the familiar currency of post-breakup reflection. An old red flag spotted too late, time lost that cannot be recovered, a new partner in the picture, late-night doubts that surface when loneliness sets in. Jack & Jack anchor it all in a mantra of self-reassurance, the repeated affirmation "I'll be okay" doing the work of both prayer and defiance. It is a song about accepting that some questions do not need answering.
