BTS' Jin has released his second solo album 'Echo', featuring a new single with actor Shin Se-kyung
BTS member Jin drops new seven-track album Echo and shares lead single's music video featuring Shin Se-kyung.
About This Track
Jin's 'Abyss' is an acoustic ballad built on the image of descending into dark water. The song moves between introspection and a kind of helpless circling, the narrator caught between the desire to know themselves more deeply and the feeling of being stuck, unable to speak or move forward. There is a tension throughout between the pull of the depths and the distance that seems to grow even as closeness is pursued. The track emerges from Jin's reflections on anxiety, doubt, and burnout. Co-written with Bumzu, Pdogg, and RM, it sits in the space between confession and meditation, the repetition of certain phrases and images working to mirror the emotional loop the lyrics describe. The effect is one of patient, careful restraint rather than catharsis, the song content to dwell in uncertainty.
"Abyss" is a single by Jin, released 3rd December 2020. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 4 articles about Jin.
