Lyrics

Checkmate

Ponytail swinging, wait
'Boutta cash my check on break
24/7 checkmate
You're played out, no debate
No debate
Ponytail swinging, wait
Everything I do my way
24/7 checkmate
You're played out
We are not the same

Try 'n bait me but I cast the line
Think I'm stupid because I'm not one of the guys
Say you like my voice how it moves you
Well move to the side, move to the side
You stab backs, I stay polite
Keeping tabs on me for some time
Try and jack my style
I saw that shit from a mile

Ponytail swinging, wait
'Boutta cash my check on break
24/7 checkmate
You're played out, no debate
No debate
Ponytail swinging, wait
Everything I do my way
24/7 checkmate
You're played out
We are not the same

This time I'm not leaving breadcrumbs
Follow my trail like I'm not gon' catch on
Follow your fights only when there's back-up
That sounds pretty stressful
I think you might wanna take flight
Give yourself a chance to come out alive
Tried so hard tried like to play both sides
Tried so hard but we're not alike

Ponytail swinging, wait
'Boutta cash my check on break
24/7 checkmate
You're played out, no debate
No debate, mmm
Ponytail swinging, wait
Everything I do my way
24/7 checkmate
You're played out
We are not the same

24/7, 24/7 checkmate
24/7 checkmate
24/7 checkmate, mm-mm
24/7
24/7 checkmate

24/7 checkmate
You're played out
We are not the same

I see you change face but I see everything
I keep you at arms length
'Cause you're the type to start acting different
I see people start switching
'Cause they're paying attention to me
I believe, I believe that it's coming to me, yeah

I believe that it's coming to me yeah-yeah
Coming to me
Coming to me, yeah
Coming to me, yeah
I believe that it's coming, yeah
I believe that it's coming, yeah
I believe that it's coming to me, yeah
