About This Track

'Ride' by Loreen is a 2017 pop track from the album 'Ride'. The lyrics play out as a night-time flight from normal life, with an insistence on freedom and secrecy, as the singer urges someone to “run away” and keep going despite feeling lost. There is a dreamlike sense of momentum in lines about counting miles and stars, breaking out, and chasing the lights off a car, alongside a defiant refusal to worry about what others think.

"Ride" is a track by Loreen, from the album Ride, released 24th November 2017. The track is 5:12 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

Ride

Rub your eyes tonight
Let's run away
Light it up for us
Feel no shame

Counting miles and stars
We won't change
Realise we're lost
But I'm away

Break out, take me far away
They don't know what we are
Dreamer, wait now, let them chase
To the lights off your car

I don't mind the night
No, we'll be fine
When the cold creeps in, you warm my skin
Leave the pride outside for love tonight
Just smoke with me in leather seats and

Ride
Drive
Ride
Ride
Ride

Rest your soul and I'll
Take the wheel
Burn out every tyre
Then drive us in

Break out, take me far away
They don't know what we are
Dreamer, wait now, let them chase
To the lights off your car

I don't mind the night
No, we'll be fine
When the cold creeps in, you warm my skin
Leave the pride outside for love tonight
Just smoke with me in leather seats and

Ride
Drive
