About This Track

'Trouble' by Mabel is a 2019 pop song from the album 'High Expectations'. The lyrics cast a charged, persuading flirtation, with the speaker repeatedly drawn into wanting, being understood, and taking risks. Lines such as “Really want your body on it” sit inside a deliberate push for physical intimacy, while references to substance use keep the mood reckless rather than romantic. The overall tone is insistently overconfident and hungry, as desire becomes both promise and problem.

"Trouble" is a track by Mabel, from the album High Expectations, released 8th February 2019. The track is 3:29 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 12 articles about Mabel.

Lyrics

Trouble

Make me feel good, you make me feel good
You make me do things that I never would
No question how you feelin' 'cause it's understood
Really want it, really want it
Really want your body on it

Show you things that nobody's ever shown
Take a little hit 'cause it's edible
But I could change your life for the better though
Think about it, think about it
Think about how good you got it

So hold me close
There's no fire without smoke

Yeah, I came looking for trouble
Yeah, I came looking for you
'Cause I can't get you out my head
I know instead, I should've stayed at home
Yeah, I came looking for trouble
And I get everything I need, do as I please
Living dangerously, living dangerously

I came looking for
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Yeah, I came looking for trouble

I don't want the bad feelings that I had before
Take me to a place to forget it, oh
Show me all your love like a waterfall
Washing over, washing over, washing all over my body

I'm ecstatical
I'm so out of control
So hold me close
There's no fire without smoke

Yeah, I came looking for trouble
Yeah, I came looking for you
'Cause I can't get you out my head
I know instead, I should've stayed at home
Yeah, I came looking for trouble
And I get everything I need, do as I please
Living dangerously, living dangerously

I came looking for
Trouble, trouble, trouble
Yeah, I came looking for trouble

Send out your love and know
I can't walk away from you now, now
And when you got me up
You make me forget I was ever down
You never let me down
Now we're doing nothing wrong
I know you're no good for me, but it feels good
So baby, don't let go
I know I shouldn't, but

Yeah, I came looking for trouble
Yeah, I came looking for you
'Cause I can't get you out my head
I know instead, I should've stayed at home
Yeah, I came looking for trouble (And you know what I want, yeah)
And I get everything I need, do as I please
Living dangerously, living dangerously

I came looking for trouble, trouble (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Looking for trouble, trouble (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Looking for trouble, trouble
Yeah, I came looking for trouble
