About This Track
'Reflections' finds MisterWives caught between hope and self-protection. The track opens on ambivalence, a door left ajar that the narrator cannot ignore, and spirals inward from there. Lead singer Mandy Lee traces the architecture of a relationship that has already fractured, one where intimacy has given way to the work of letting go. The chorus distils this into a stark imperative: put yourself away, kill the spark, destroy anything that might remind you of them. What makes the song cut deeper is its refusal of clean resolution. The bridge admits that this person has rewired something fundamental, stolen sleep and awakened a better version of life, and yet the chorus returns unchanged. There is no triumph in the shattering. Lee's voice carries the weight of someone who understands that discipline and desire are not the same thing, and that sometimes the hardest choice is the one you have to make again and again.
