Lyrics

Candlestick

Could've hit you with a candlestick

But I want you in my life forever and more

Should've crushed your teeth and your nose

But I kind of like your face

And I like it like it is

I like it like it is forever and more

It's been a crazy summer

It's been alright

I wanted to hit you back then

But I really had to sleep

I had to take him out

I had to take him out forever and more

Was a pretty heavy candlestick

But my eyelids were the heaviest of all

Tried my best to do my monologue

But I messed up all my lines

I messed up all my words

I lost all sense of feeling in my tongue

It's been a crazy summer

It's been alright

I really should've hit you back then

But I had to take a nap forever and more

It's been a crazy summer

It's been alright

Could've would've should've hit you back then

I really had to sleep

I had to take a nap

I had to take a nap forever and more
