Neck Deep's 'Torn' is a cover of the 1998 Natalie Imbruglia song, reimagined here with the band's pop-punk sensibility. The track appears on their album 'Songs That Saved My Life', released in 2018. Where the original sits in quiet resignation, Neck Deep amplify the emotional wreckage into something more urgent and raw, the band's guitars and drums lending weight to the narrator's catalogue of disillusionment. The song dwells in the aftermath of a relationship's collapse, moving between specific memory and generalised despair. The narrator confronts the gap between who they thought their partner was and who they turned out to be, each verse peeling back another layer of that disappointment.
